I am unhappy with my weight and I want to lose at least 50lbs before my high school graduation, which is May 25, 2006. I heard of water pills, but how accurate are they? I really don't want to take the easy way out because I did this to myself, but I can't afford to go to a gym. What can i do. Does walking really work? IS there more to it.
Answer on Does water pills cause rapid weight loss?
No, it causes rapid water loss. If you want to lose some weight, start eating healthier, doing 20 minutes of cardio 3x a week and lifting light weights 3 times a week to tone up. It's important that you include strength training since one pound of muscle can burn up to 9X the calories that one pound of fat will burn. You do NOT need to go to the gym to accomplish this. You can walk/jog outside and do lunges and sit ups inside. All you need are cheap hand weights, available at Target, Walmart or any other similar store.
Also, drink 8-10 glasses of water every day. It helps to curb appetite and a hydrated body will burn more calories than a dehydrated body.
Good Luck and congratulations on your upcoming graduation!
